For companies
What is ExpertMatcher
ExpertMatcher is an AI expert matching marketplace for operating companies. You describe a problem or project in one sentence, ExpertMatcher turns it into a structured match brief and shortlists verified consultants, fractional and interim executives and specialists, and then runs the call or project with contracts, payments and ratings in one place.
How fast do I get a shortlist
The match brief appears within seconds of sending your description, and the shortlist of verified experts is built from it in minutes. Each expert shows a fit score per criterion, a rate card and availability, so you can book a call the same day. Read the full flow on find an expert.
What types of experts can I hire
Consultants for a defined problem, specialists such as an SEO consultant or a Shopify developer, fractional executives who work one to three days a week, and interim executives who step in full time for a set period.
What is the difference between an expert call and a project
An expert consultation is a paid 30, 60 or 90 minute call at the expert's rate, useful for a decision or a second opinion. A project or fractional engagement runs on a SOW with milestones or a retainer measured in days per week, with timesheets you approve.
What if none of the experts fit
Tell ExpertMatcher what is off in one line, for example a missing industry or a rate band that is too high. The match brief is reweighted and the shortlist is rebuilt from the new criteria.
Can my whole team use one account
Yes, from Growth up. Growth includes 5 seats, Scale 15 and Enterprise unlimited seats, with shared shortlists, comments, approvals and budgets per department on the higher plans.
For experts
Who can join as an expert
Independent consultants, fractional and interim executives and specialists with verifiable work history and references. You create an expert profile, pass the identity check and set your own rate card and availability. Details on become an expert consultant.
How do experts get matched to briefs
ExpertMatcher compares each match brief with your industries, competencies, seniority, rate band, availability and timezone. When your fit is strong, the company sees your profile in its shortlist with the reasons behind your score.
Who sets the expert's rate
Rates are set by each expert. You publish an hourly, daily or retainer rate, and the company sees it before booking. ExpertMatcher does not take a markup from your rate.
How and when do experts get paid
Once the company pays the invoice for a call or a milestone, ExpertMatcher sends a payout to your bank account. US experts get a 1099 for their earnings through the platform.
What does Expert Pro add
Expert Pro gives you priority in matching when your fit is strong, a featured rate card, a portfolio section and a 5% fee on your earnings instead of 8%, for $99 per month or $49 per month billed yearly.
Payments and billing
How much does ExpertMatcher cost for companies
Plans start at $49 per month or $24 per month billed yearly on Starter and go up to $999 per month or $499 per month billed yearly on Enterprise. Every plan is listed on ExpertMatcher pricing.
What is the platform fee
A percentage of each engagement you pay through the platform, from 12% on Starter to 4% on Enterprise, added on the company invoice. It covers payment processing, invoicing, payouts, 1099 handling and contract records.
How do I pay for calls and projects
By card on every plan and by ACH from Growth up. Each engagement gets its own invoice with the expert's fee and the platform fee, and Enterprise receives one consolidated invoice per month.
Can I cancel my plan
Yes, anytime in your account settings. The plan stops renewing and stays active until the end of the period you paid for. Payments are final as described in the refund policy.
Is there a way to try ExpertMatcher first
Yes. The form on the home page builds a real match brief and screening questions from your description before you sign up. Matched expert profiles open after you create your account.
Trust and privacy
How are experts verified
Every expert passes an identity check, and we verify work history, references, certifications where relevant, a rate card and availability before a profile appears in any shortlist.
Who sees my brief
Experts in your shortlist see a redacted summary first. Full details, files and names are shared only after an expert signs your NDA, and only with the experts you approve.
Who owns the deliverables
Your company. Every SOW includes an IP assignment clause, so the work you paid for through ExpertMatcher belongs to you once the related payment is complete.
Are ratings real
Ratings can be left only after a verified completed engagement, by the company that paid for it. Nobody can rate an expert they never worked with.
How is my data protected
Briefs, files and messages are encrypted in transit and at rest, access is limited to your team and approved experts, and Enterprise adds SSO, roles and an audit log. More on ExpertMatcher security.
